A new clubhouse, pro shop, restaurant, and banquet facility are just a few of the new attractions for golfers at Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos. Ted Robinson designed the course, which opened for public play in 1993. The course features four water holes, undulating greens, and many elevation changes, making it a great round for keeping fit. Many newer home developments have sprung up around the course and offer more affordable prices compared to the rest of San Diego. Prices for newer single family homes in several different neighborhoods start near $300,000.

- Golf: 6,535-yard, par 72. The course plays long and you'll get plenty of exercise walking the hilly terrain. Four water holes. Practice range and greens. Full pro shop facilities and instruction available. Greens are fast and smooth, and the fairways are lush. The course rolls over former dairy pastureland, and is generally wide open, has generous greens and hazards.
