One of the South Bay's largest master-planned communities, Eastlake Greens features many newer residences which are grouped in well-maintained neighborhoods all around the course. Even if you don't play, you'll enjoy the scenery and there's plenty of other things to do here. There are lots of trees, but most of them are still young, so you can negotiate them with some average skill. But look out for the 72 sand traps on this course-one for every stroke of par. Fairways are nicely maintained and are in the process of conversion to bermuda base. Well-manicured, average speed greens, are fairly large, but putt true.

- Golf: 6,435-yard, Par 72 with full service Driving range and practice greens. Full pro shop facilities and instruction available. The signature hole at the 12th is a tough par 3 over water to a tiered green, one of several on the course. A nice Ted Robinson design which offers an adequate amount of challenge but with overall good playability for the average golfer.
- Green Fees: Affordable rates; call pro shop for information on fees, policies and special rates. American Golf-managed.
- Clubhouse: Modern design, with well-kept areas, including an outdoor banquet facility for summer gathers. Full pro shop and retail shop. Adjacent recreational club, plus sand volleyball, basketball, gorgeous pool area and more.
- Community Highlights: Eastlake is a massive development, with homes to suit every budget and taste. The community surrounds the course, so there are lots of view frontage homes available for those who like a big lawn, but hate to mow.
- Schools: Contact the Chula Vista School District for information.
- City Highlights: Chula Vista and the South Bay area have experienced a tremendous boom in growth in recent years; there are many new businesses, commercial developments and newer Industrial parks which compliment the newer residential neighborhoods.
- Proximity: About an hour from downtown and San Diego Internat'l Airport.
- Accommodations: Several lodging options not to far away, but nothing in the immediate area, which is primarily residential.
