Located on a bluff with panoramic ocean views, Encinitas Ranch is one of San Diego's newest public courses, opened in 1999. The fairways are spacious with young plantings but the constant breeze off the ocean and varying terrain provide plenty of challenge. Special rates for residents. Under new ownership, La Costa has recently opened the course to public play, and plans are to remodel the clubhouse. The North Course is wider with rolling terrain, while the South is much tighter and requires accuracy amidst the water and tree-lined fairways. Active Tennis Club.
